Sand Cooler
When high-temperature sand comes out from knockout, it passes through a sand cooler via an air valve for cooling. The cooling is maintained by exposing the sand to water cooling pipes running the length of the sand bed. This sand drops onto tubes where it directly contacts the cooling tubes. Cold water is continuously circulated in fin tubes, causing heat transfer from sand to water.
